Biometric Signature
Fingerprints are required from almost all visa applicants. We obtain fingerprints using a quick, inkless procedure. By submitting fingerprints, applicants are certifying under penalty of perjury that they have read and understood the questions in their visa application and that all statements that appear in their visa application have been made by them and are true and complete to the best of their knowledge and belief. Furthermore, they certify under penalty of perjury that all statements that they make in their interview are true and complete to the best of their knowledge and belief.
Warning
Please note that the Consular Section does not deal with visa brokers. Anyone who claims they can guarantee visa issuance or expedite visa processing is lying. The Consular Section treats allegations of fraud or malfeasance in visa processing very seriously.

Important Notice
- You are not allowed to bring electronic devices, including mobile telephones, into the United States Embassy. Please make arrangements to leave your electronic equipment in a safe location with the guards during your interview appointment. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation.
- As is standard practice around the world, we do not permit any third party to attend the nonimmigrant visa interview. Your interview can be conducted in Khmer or in English, if you prefer. Our officers are trained to conduct interviews in Khmer. If the applicant is still unable to understand the questions posed to them, we will provide a local employee who will translate for the applicant.
- No assurance regarding the issuance of visas can be given in advance. Please do not make any binding travel plans or purchase airline tickets until you have received your visa.
