Military Sealift Command Atlantic plays a vital role in global Department of Defense strategy by operating an average of 50 ships that transport equipment, fuel, supplies and ammunition to sustain U.S. and coalition forces engaged in worldwide operations, including the Global War on Terrorism and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
