It is our pleasure to welcome you to the official Cummings Elementary School website. Our goal is to provide current and relevant information about our school to the military families we serve today and those we look forward to welcoming to our campus in the future.

We, at Cummings believe all students can be successful learners and critical thinkers. We are committed to preparing all students to become global citizens by offering an authentic integrated curriculum, mixed with many life skills, as well as cultural experiences that enhance each child's ability to successfully work and play within various communities.

Our philosophy is that the ultimate education we seek will allow us to live on a planet that is capable of maintaining a peaceful, clean, safe, and comfortable system for humanity. It is important that our students, teachers, and families prepare for what lies over the horizon, and we must do that together.

Our school emblem features our mascot--the Siberian Swan. Lake Ogawara, which borders Misawa Air Base, is a popular layover point on the swans' migratory path.
