The PMF Program has a rich history going back to 1977 when
President Carter issued Executive Order 12008 establishing "The
Presidential Management Intern Program." Three follow-on Executive
Orders renamed and refined the program, laying out the rules by
which the program would be administered by the Office of Personnel
Management (OPM).
President Obama's Executive Order 13562 makes additional changes
to the PMF Program and combines it under the Pathways Programs
umbrella. A copy of the regulations (current and previous) can be
found below. In addition, a Pathways PMF Program Factsheet is
provided below to outline the changes to the PMF Program.
Throughout the coming weeks, the PMF Program Office will be updated
other factsheets, guidance, and web content to reflect the changes
as a result of the Pathways Programs.
The table below contains links to downloadable regulatory and
other information for agencies as well as the text of the five
Executive Orders related to the program.
