Second Chance Act Reentry Court Programs

First funded in 2010, the Second Chance Act reentry court grant program helps state and local government agencies and federally recognized Indian tribes establish state, local, and tribal reentry courts that monitor offenders and provide them with the treatment services necessary to establish a self-sustaining and law-abiding life. The Bureau of Justice Assistance provided up to $500,000 to reentry court grantees for a one-year project period.

  • BJA last released a solicitation for the reentry court grant program in 2011. To view the 2011 solicitation, click here.
