1/31/2013 - HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- When school is in session, Arnold Avenue in front of Holloman Elementary School will be closed to vehicle traffic Monday through Friday from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Feb. 6.
In the interest of children's safety, Col. Kevin Bennett, 49th Mission Support Group commander and chairman of the Traffic Safety Working Group, asks that all parents use the designated parking lots to the east and west of the school for drop-off and pick-up. There will be cones in place to indicate direction and traffic flow in these areas.
The section of Arnold Avenue to be closed is roughly between Sumac Street and Cliffrose Street (see map). Residents will no longer be able to turn onto Arnold Avenue from Cliffrose Street during the hours indicated.
