Materiel Management Offices

DLA Land Customer Operations
The Land Customer Operations Directorate serves as Defense Logistics Agency's forward presence at select customer locations.

DLA Land Supplier Operations
The Land Supplier Directorate provides DoD with worldwide integrated supply chain solutions for land weapon systems.

DLA Maritime Customer Operations
The Maritime Customer Operations Directorate is the customer-facing portion of the DLA Enterprise that is responsible for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with Navy Surface, Subsurface, Operational Forces, Industrial, Coast Guard and Army/Navy Foreign Military Sales programs.

DLA Maritime Supplier Operations
Maritime Supplier Operations exists to sustain and enhance our customer's readiness by providing what our customers need, when they need it, whether in combat, on peacekeeping missions around the world, or training at their home bases.

DLA Land and Maritime Supply Chain - Philadelphia
The Philadelphia detachment assists DLA and the Land and Maritime Supply Chain owners in Columbus, OH in strategic sourcing initiatives, e.g. Long-term and Corporate Contracts. Land and Maritime provides the best logistic support and supply chain management by working diligently to furnish each product efficiently to their customers.

Technical Offices

Document Standardization Unit
Our engineers and technicians coordinate and prepare specifications, drawings, and other technical documents covering a wide range of electronic components and other items. They provide engineering support to DoD customers using these documents.

Packaging
The Packaging Team is focused on streamlining processes, reducing administrative costs, and assisting contractors on the road to success by providing the most economical and optimum performance packaging designs to our customers to support DoD missions.

Product Verification Office
The Product Verification Office works to assure the quality of DLA materiel, and to improve the process of delivering logistics support at a reduced cost.

Sourcing and Qualifications Office
The Sourcing and Qualifications Unit is organized into four (4) teams each assigned management responsibility for different technologies. DLA Land and Maritime-VQC handles primarily microelectronics; DLA Land and Maritime-VQH is assigned responsibility to manage hybrid microcircuits; DLA Land and Maritime-VQP primarily is assigned responsibility to manage passive electronic and construction items and DLA Land and Maritime-VQE is assigned responsibility for semiconductors, printed wiring boards, and electron tubes.

Standardization Office
This unit performs traditional standardization functions, interchangeability and substitutability of items in the supply system through Item Reduction Studies (IRSs) while providing full coordination with all military and civilian activities. It performs specification reviews, provides coordination of Military/Federal specifications and standards, Non-Government Standards (NGSs), and Commercial Item Descriptions (CIDs). We perform Parts Management Advisory Team (PMAT) functions to advise and provide recommendations on parts management plans and processes; and on the selection and use of preferred (i.e. standard and commonly used) parts.

Value Management Office
We are the DLA Land and Maritime Point Of Contact for the organic manufacturing program to support nonprocurable or nonresponsive NSNs. We also use research and development programs such as the On Demand Manufacturing (ODM) program and the American Metalcastings Consortium (AMC) to develop or support VE or Breakout projects.
