She then moved to Naples, Italy where she taught various elementary grade levels for six years. Ms. Leach then moved to Wuerzburg, Germany where she began her administrative career as the assistant principal of Wuerzburg American Middle School. After three years as assistant principal, Denise then became the principal of Wuerzburg American Middle School. She had remained in that position for the last six years. As a principal she joined Zama American Middle School in the Fall of 2006.

Ms. Leach enjoys the high energy, humor, and dedication of the middle school staff, as well as watching education unfold for students in the fifth through eighth grade levels. She finds much joy in being a part of the education and social development of the pre-adolescent and early adolescent youth.
