Angela Simpson, Acting Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary, National Telecommunications and Information Administration, Department of Commerce

Angela Simpson is the Acting Chief of Staff of the Commerce Department’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration. Ms. Simpson provides managerial and policy support for a wide range of agency activities, including Internet policymaking, spectrum, and broadband access and adoption programs. In addition, she is the senior advisor to the Assistant Secretary on matters related to broadband and NTIA’s Recovery Act broadband grants programs. She joined NTIA from the Obama for America Campaign and has been involved in the telecommunications industry at the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) trade association, as an associate in the Communications practice of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP, and as Director of Federal Regulatory at Covad Communications.
