Allen G. Fritzsching

Command Sgt. Maj. Allen G. Fritzsching was born in Houston, Texas, and joined the U.S. Army in 1985. He received Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, S.C. He has a bachelor's degree in science from Excelsior University (summa cum laude) and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from Trident University International (summa cum laude).

Fritzsching's assignments include serving as a heavy wheeled vehicle mechanic, Bravo Company, 5th Transportation Battalion; maintenance supervisor/squad leader, Bravo Company 8-101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); senior wheeled vehicle mechanic/platoon sergeant, Hotel Company, 159th Aviation Regiment; senior drill sergeant, Bravo Company 1-81st Armor Regiment; battalion motor sergeant/platoon sergeant, 29th Engineer Battalion; first sergeant, Headquarter and Headquarters Company, 112th Special Operations Signal Battalion (Airborne); command sergeant major, 189th Corps Support Battalion (Airborne); command sergeant major, 18th Airborne Corps Distribution Command; command sergeant major, 10th Sustainment Brigade; command sergeant major, U.S. Army Developmental Test Command, and is currently the command sergeant major, U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command.

Fritzsching's significant accomplishments include being selected as the 1989 101st Airborne Division Air Assault Noncommissioned Officer of the Year and the 1993 1-81st Armor Regiment Drill Sergeant of the Year. He was the first member of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) to be inducted into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and is a recipient of the Ordnance Order of Samuel Sharpe and Colonel Decius Wadsworth Award of Scholarship.

His combat tours include Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and three combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I, IV & IX.
