DURHAM – Veterans residing in Wayne and surrounding counties will enjoy more access to VA health care when the new VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) opens next spring.  The new clinic will be located 2610 Hospital Road in Goldsboro.  Provided permitting is completed, construction is expected to begin in the fall.

The clinic will be an extension of the Fayetteville VA Medical Center.  With approximately 10,000 sq. feet, the clinic is slated to provide primary care and mental health services to about 5,000 Veterans.

Veterans currently enrolled at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, who live in close proximity to the new clinic, will be given priority for care there.  The Fayetteville VA Medical Center will review their list of Veterans currently enrolled who may benefit from receiving their Primary Care at the new clinic and inform of the option.

A five-year lease with five one year options has been awarded to Construction Managers, Inc. of Goldsboro.
