YCPTF Mission: 

To establish and facilitate ongoing communication, involvement, support, and recognition between the California Military Department, our military families, local communities and the youth entrusted to our care in a partnership that promotes the well-being of all.

The YCPTF facilitates this through education outreach services, and partnerships leveraging resources, training, and constantly capitalizing on new capabilities, concepts, and technological advances. 

 

Youth Programs - What we're about . . .

Youth Programs Mission: 

We serve California communities and families which entrust students to our care by delivering national level, high quality educational support programs, in partnership with the educational community, within a military/academic-structured environment.

  Operation Ready Families   Operation Ready Families:   Assist units as they support the families of members of the CNG during peacetime and times of training and deployment.
      California Military Museum:   Located in Old Sacramento State Historical Park. The museum, opened by Governor Pete Wilson in 1991, is the official military museum and historical research center of the State of California.
Sunburst Youth ChalleNGe   Sunburst Youth ChalleNGe:   Residential, serving 16-18 year old high school students located in Los Alamitos, CA        Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR):   The Youth and Community Programs Task Force is currently researching avenues to bolster the California National Guard MWR Program, check back soon!

Grizzly Youth ChalleNGe:   Residential, serving 16-18 year old high school students located in San Luis Obispo, CA

       
STARBASE   STARBASE:   Serving 5th grade students in the Sacramento Area, focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math        
Oakland Military Institute (OMI)   Oakland Military Institute (OMI):   Serving grades 6-12 college preparatory school located in Oakland, CA        
California Cadet Corps (CaCC)    California Cadet Corps (CaCC):   School based cadet program for grades 6-12, located in multiple locations throughout CA
