This Web site is part of a federal computer system used to accomplish federal functions. The Department of Energy monitors this Web site for security purposes to ensure that it remains available to all users and to protect information in the system. By accessing this Web site, you are expressly consenting to these monitoring activities. We collect no personal information about you when you visit a DOE web site, unless otherwise stated and unless you choose to provide this information to us. However, we automatically collect and store the following information in our server logs:

• The Internet Protocol (IP) address of the domain from which you access the Internet (i.e. 123.456.789.012) whether yours individually or provided as a proxy by your Internet Service Provider (ISP),
• The date and time you accessed our site,
• The pages you peruse (recorded by the text and graphics files that compose that page), and
• The Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to our site.

In addition, we use Google Analytics to collect and analyze this information. Google Analytics uses a persistent cookie to track your usage of our site. This is classified as a Tier 2 usage under OMB Memorandum M-10-22. If you wish, you may opt out of Google Analytics by disabling cookies in your browser. EIS Comments Sent by the Web or by E-Mail

If you use the Public Comment page on this Web site to provide a public comment on the Great Lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study (GLMRIS), or send a GLMRIS public comment by e-mail, your comment and personal information you send with it may be forwarded to the USACE or their contractors for processing, review, and/or response as part of the EIS process. Your comment may also be posted on a publicly available Web site. Personal information you submit with a public comment may also be posted with the comment on a publicly available Web site, unless you indicate at the time the comment is submitted that you do not wish to have your personal information made available on the Web site. However, USACE cannot guarantee that information withheld from the Web site will be maintained as confidential. Requests for disclosure of information collected will be handled through the Freedom of Information Act. Comments and information, including the identity of the submitter, may be disclosed, reproduced, and distributed.
