Kevin Yeskey, M.D., is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and the Director of the Office of Preparedness and Emergency Operations in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In this capacity he oversees the National Disaster Medical System, the Hospital Preparedness Program, the HHS Secretary’s Operation Center, Response Operations, Recovery Programs, and Continuity of Operations. 

Dr. Yeskey was a Commissioned Officer in the US Public Health Service for 24 years and was assigned to the Indian Health Service, the Health Services and Resources Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Office of the Secretary.

He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.  He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
