Ambassador Special Self Help Fund
The U.S. Ambassador's Special Self Help (SSH) Program
The Ambassador’s Special Self-Help (SSH) Program provides small grants to community development activities in Mozambique. Under this program, the community must make significant contributions in the form of land, labor, money or other resources to successfully complete the project. Some examples of activities funded under SSH include constructing poultry and fish farms, providing computer equipment to a career corner, and providing a rice-shelling machine to an association of female farmers. The SSH program can finance projects up to $10,000 and each project funded must be implemented within one year.
Deadline for 2013 proposal applications is January 31, 2013.
