Federal Benefits
Primary responsibility for adjudication of Federal Benefits Claims and many other services that were formerly covered by FBU Unit in Zagreb has been transferred to the Regional Federal Benefits Unit in Athens, Greece. They can be reached by e-mail: FBUAthens@ssa.gov
Applicants and beneficiaries residing in Montenegro can be assisted by the American Citizen Services section in Podgorica in obtaining information about Social Security and other agencies. Please note that all cases will be forwarded to RFBU Unit in Athens, Greece which may cause significant delays.
