Please read the following instructions carefully before applying for any position.

An applicant must either be an Algerian citizen or have the required work and/or residency permit allowing the individual to work in Algiers before being able to apply for any of the positions below. Applicants will be asked to provide documentation to support their legal right to work in Algeria.

Please note that if you are selected for a position within the Embassy you will be required to go through an Embassy Security Investigation and a medical clearance prior to your appointment.

Please send your resume ONLY if you are applying for any specific position. Unsolicited applications are not accepted . Our Embassy does not have a database for CVs, therefore you need to submit your CV every time you want to apply for an open position.

How to Apply

1. Please click on the vacancy title link to access the vacancy announcement. You will need to read the announcement carefully before sending your resume.
2. Please make sure there is a section in your resume that clearly states how your skills and experience meet the vacancy requirements.
3. The length of your resume should not exceed two pages (letter size).
4. Submit your resume, letter of interest, proof of education, three professional references, Application for employment Form DS174 (PDF 1.3MB), and a list of relatives who are or have been U.S. Embassy Algiers employees via fax (0770-082-288), specifying the name and number of the vacancy you are applying for. You can also submit via regular mail (U.S. Embassy Algiers, Human Resources Office) also specifying the vacancy’s name and number. 

Please take into account that your resume should reach our office before the vacancy’s closing date.  If possible, please include an e-mail address in your resume where you can be contacted.

Any resume that does not meet the above mentioned requirements will not be considered.
