Southern Regional Medical Command (SRMC), Office
of
the Inspector General (OIG) provides assistance to
those that have concerns with SRMC medical and dental treatment facilities,
units and Warrior Transition Units within SRMC regardless of location.
Mission: It is the mission of the SRMC IG to inquire into,
and periodically report on the discipline, efficiency, economy, morale,
training, and readiness of SRMC. The IG performs its mission as an impartial
fact finder through four core functions: Assistance, Inspections,
Investigations, and "Teach and Train."
The IG provides support to the Commanding General, by serving as an
extension of their eyes, ears, voice and conscience to enhance mission
readiness, improve the effectiveness, efficiency, discipline, and morale of
the units and Soldiers assigned or attached to SRMC to include Warrior
Transition Units. In addition, IG also provides assistance to Soldiers,
Family members, beneficiaries or civilians who request assistance that
pertains to an Army matter.
Locations and Hours
The SRMC IG provides assistance to those who
have concerns with SRMC Facilities regardless of location. Our office is
located at Joint Base San Antonio Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and our office
hours are Monday
through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm CST. No appointment is required.
