Passport and Citizenship Services in Bordeaux

If your travel plans are not imminent you may submit routine passport applications, and lost, stolen or mutilated passport applications with the other required documents to the APP Bordeaux.  For all passport services please call 05 56 48 63 85 to schedule an appointment or send an e-mail to: usabordeaux@state.gov.

For children younger than 16, APP Bordeaux requires “transition photos.”  Parents should bring in a photo of the child (without any others in the photo) for each year between the issuance of their previous passport and the application for the new passport.  If a family is applying for several children at the same time, separate photos should be brought for each child, without siblings in the same photo.

APP Bordeaux does not accept applications for emergency passports.  Anyone needing a passport for imminent travel or, travel within three to four weeks should not apply through the APP in Bordeaux.  If this is your case, please visit the Paris website for more information.

For instructions and forms for all passport services, you may refer to the Embassy webpage before calling the APP Bordeaux to schedule your appointment.  However, the Consular representative in Bordeaux can assist you with any questions concerning passport services.

Note: online appointments are only scheduled for consular services provided at the Embassy in Paris.  If you need to make an appointment with the American Presence Post in Bordeaux, please call 05 56 48 63 85 or send an e-mail to: usabordeaux@state.gov.
