General information
Services for American Citizens at the U.S. Embassy are available Monday and Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, except U.S. and Mongolian holidays. Starting 1 September, 2011, services are being provided by appointment only. To make an appointment please visit the U.S. Citizens Services Appointment System.
** Please note that the Consular Section cannot discuss Immigrant or Non-Immigrant visa issues during American Citizen hours. See the relevant sections of our webpage for information on these services.
For emergencies after Embassy working hours, please contact the Embassy Duty Officer at 976-9911-4168.

- The Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) will be offered at the U.S. Embassy in February 2013. American citizens who are interested in pursuing a career with the United States Department of State are encouraged to visit www.careers.state.gov to register.

In case of an actual emergency involving a US citizen, please call the Embassy at 976-11-329-095 if it is during regular business hours (8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday). If it is after business hours, on weekends or holidays, please contact the Embassy duty officer at 99114168. If you are calling from the US, please dial 976-99114168.
