Senior Advisor for Innovation Alec Ross visited Vienna from September 5 to 6. He addressed the annual Ambassadors' meeting at the Austrian Foreign Ministry on the subject of Digital Diplomacy. Another highlight of his visit was a roundtable discussion at the Amerika Haus. Ross’ discussion of media in government and political campaigning touched off a lively debate. Alec Ross' visit generated considerable media interest, including an exclusive interview with the leading daily Der Standard, reports in traditional and new media, as well as an interview with the Austrian National TV, and a meeting with many of the leading Austrian chief editors.
