Public Research Area

Located in the U.S. Embassy, the ACIR offers a comfortable environment with computers, access to electronic research databases, a reading area and a small group discussion area. First and foremost an electronic information outreach service, the ACIR also holds a small collection of important reference books, U.S.-published journals, DVDs and CD-ROMs.  

Newsletter and Email Alerts

The ACIR produces a daily newsletter, "Georgia in the News," which is a compilation of news from U.S., European, Georgian and Russian media sources. Please contact the ACIR to subscribe.  The ACIR also sends periodic email alerts announcing major foreign policy events, speeches and articles. Specialized email alerts on a variety of topics can be arranged upon request.  

Programs and Seminars

The ACIR organizes a series of programs and seminars throughout the year. If you are interested in partnering with the ACIR or have a specific request, please contact us.

Electronic Databases   

Visitors to the ACIR have direct access to EBSCO, a powerful online reference system offering a wide variety of databases, covering the natural sciences, social science and humanities. In addition, visitors to ACIR can work with an Information Resource Specialist to investigate specific queries through:
