Tyumen Model United Nations Conference

On February 24, CG Mike Reinert spent the day at Tyumen State University working with students from the Urals and Western Siberia participating in the 2011 Tyumen Model United Nations Conference. More than 140 of the top international relations students from throughout the region showcased their diplomatic and language skills in simulated United Nations committee sessions. The student organizers of the Tyumen Model UN included recent participants in the U.S. Consulate Yekaterinburg’s “Young Diplomats” program. The opening event of the conference, held at the Tyumen Oblast Duma, was attended by senior political and academic officials in Tyumen Oblast and widely covered in regional electronic and print media.
