Joint EOD Technical Support Center (JEODTSC)

Mission

The mission of the JEODTSC is to provide timely information to all U.S. Department of Defense operational forces (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force), U.S. government entities (Federal Bureau of Information, Central Intelligence Agency, Department of Homeland Security, and the Technical Support Working Group), and civilian law enforcement agencies. The TSC provides single point access to NAVEODTECHDIV’s technical information library and subject matter expert (SME) resources.

Overview

The JEODTSC was established to better provide EOD technicians worldwide with real-time information essential to countering rapidly-evolving sophisticated explosive threats.

Concept of Operations

The JEODTSC operates synergistically with the Joint Service EOD Community enabling EOD operators to connect to a single resource to gain access to a broad range of EOD related support services. The JEODTSC provides around the clock EOD operational decision support and other EOD equipment and information related technical support in real-time to operators around the world.

Request for Information (RFI) Process

    1.  The JEODTSC receives RFIs, which can be made by submitting an RFI form at the JEODTSC SIPR Website, phone, fax, secure fax, or e-mail.

    2.  Each request is handled according to urgency. Urgent requests are processed within 4 hours; Routine requests ar processed within 24 hours.

    3.  Using all of NAVEODTECHDIV's information assests, JEODTSC personnel research the issue forwarding RFIs to the appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) for response when appropriate.

    4.  Answers are disseminated accordingly.

All questions and answers are tracked in a database; the contents of which are used to further streamline processes within the JEODTSC and NAVEODTECHDIV at large.
