Equipment Specialists
You will (1) collect, analyze, interpret and develop
specialized information about equipment, (2) provide such information together
with advisory services to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply,
operate, repair or dispose of equipment and/or (3) develop, install, inspect or
revise equipment maintenance program and techniques based on a practical
knowledge of the EOD equipment, including its design, production, operational
and maintenance requirements. You will exploit improvised explosive devices
(IEDs) and develop new Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) tools and methods to
counter emerging IED threats. You will provide information on ordnance
exploitation to a wide range of outside interests, including field operating
forces of the Joint Services, other Federal agencies and even foreign allies.
You will perform as an ordnance specialist in the area of EOD render
safe/disposal procedures for domestic and foreign ordnance. Knowledge of
domestic and foreign weapons systems and subsystems is desired. The successful
candidate must possess a secret clearance or be able to obtain a secret
clearance. Top Secret clearance is desired.
