Salary potential of $159,000 or more
You will exploit improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and develop new
Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) tools and methods to counter emerging threats.
You will aide in the development of device theory of operation and perform basic
electronic circuit analyses. You will also analyze recovered IEDs for usage
trends, technical characteristics, and unique production characteristics. Your
results will be used to develop conceptual designs for new tools and methods of
employment to defeat current and expected future threats. You will be provided
extensive training in preparation for periods of deployment. You will deploy to
our permanent lab facilities in Iraq or Afghanistan. Planned deployment
rotations of 3 months in theater followed by 3 months at the NAVEODTECHDIV,
Indian Head repeated and subject to change as required. Work involves risk
associated with exposure to potentially dangerous environments. The successful
candidate must possess a secret clearance or be able to obtain a secret
clearance. Top Secret clearance is desired.
