Appointments for Consular Records of Birth Abroad will be available from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesdays and Thursdays.  All other services, including routine Passport and notarial services, will be provided from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Non-emergency walk-in services will no longer be provided.

In case of emergency, U.S. Citizens should contact us  at the numbers listed below or at the numbers listed at http://islamabad.usembassy.gov/emergency_contact.html

The Embassy is also pleased to announce a new Facebook page and group for U.S. Citizens.  This page is open to anyone and can be accessed at: http://www.facebook.com/IslamabadACS

It will provide the latest information related to American Citizen Services, including travel notices and new procedures.  The group will be restricted to Americans only and you will need to send an email to acs_islamabad@state.gov to gain access.  We encourage all U.S. Citizens traveling to or living in Pakistan to request access to this group.

The Embassy reiterates its advice to all U.S. Citizens to take measures for their safety and security at all times. These measures include maintaining good situational awareness, avoiding crowds and demonstrations and keeping a low profile. Americans should avoid setting patterns by varying times and routes for all required travel.  Americans should ensure that their travel documents and visas are valid at all times.

For the latest security information, Americans living and traveling abroad should regularly monitor the Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs Internet website at http://travel.state.gov/, where the current Worldwide Caution, Travel Warning for Pakistan, and Country-Specific Information for Pakistan can be found.  Up-to-date information on security can also be obtained by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll-free in the U.S. and Canada or, for callers outside the U.S. and Canada, a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444.
