Public Affairs Section

The Public Affairs Section's objective is to expand contacts between Russians and Americans. It is responsible for the U.S. Consulate General's press relations, educational programs, and cultural exchange programs. It also provides information service and support for the American Corners in the Urals Consular District.

American Corners and Centers

There are six American Corners in the Urals Consular District - in Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Perm, Ufa, Tyumen and Yekaterinburg. They are the results of successful partnerships between the U.S. Mission and local libraries. These American Corners provide students, teachers, professionals, and USG program alumni with accurate and up-to-date information about political, economic, cultural, educational, and social life in the United States. For more information on American Corners go to www.amcorners.ru.
