Available Programs

Weight Management:

Metabolic testing is available to assess daily caloric needs. The test measures what you burn and then calculates how you should eat. It is the key to knowing precisely what your body needs for effective weight management. Classes are offered to teach you how to eat to your metabolic rate.

Healthy Nutrition:

The more you know the more you can navigate through unhealthy food choices. The Army Wellness Center provides course in basic nutrition, reading labels, quick meals, weight management, and eating to your metabolism.

Fitness Assessments:

Fitness testing and counseling are available at the Army Wellness Center. State of the art equipment is used to assess flexibility, muscular strength, cardio-respiratory fitness levels, and body composition. In conjunction with fitness testing, patients receive a comprehensive report that shows current fitness levels and education and individualized exercise counseling on how to meet their specific goals.

Stress Management:

The Wellness Center has a state of the art massage chair available during hours of operation to all members of the community. The Wellness Center can introduce you to strategies, resources and techniques for effective stress management. Also, stress relief software is available to teach breathing and relaxation techniques using biofeedback.

Unit Level Health Briefings:

Any member of the Fort Bragg Wellness Center staff can provide unit level health briefings on a variety of health/preventative medicine topics to include self care, nutrition, fitness, blood pressure, cholesterol, body image, relaxation and more.

Unit Level Fitness Assessments:

Unit level fitness assessments provides units the ability to be assessed in a group on the five components of physical fitness: cardiovascular, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition.  The comprehensive fitness testing is conducted by The Army Wellness Center and provides state of the art testing such as direct gas VO2 max.  Participants will be provided an individual plan to help them reach their individuals and units fitness goals.
