Due to biometric processing requirements, visas cannot be issued the day of the interview. Visas are typically available for pick-up at the Embassy within one week of the interview. Please plan accordingly when making travel plans.

Do not purchase plane tickets until after you have received your visa. Booking an appointment is not a guarantee that you will be granted a visa.

Some visa applications require additional clearances or administrative processing. This can take several weeks to several months. 

When additional special clearances or administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case.

*The Embassy can no longer issue visas on the same day as the interview. Biometric data checks require a minimum of 24-48 hours. Once a visa application is received, it can not be expedited.
