U.S. Embassy Information Office
The U.S. Embassy Information Office can provide media assistance to media interested in covering events, answer questions about U.S. Embassy activities and U.S. Government policies, and arrange interviews.
Interview Requests
The U.S. Embassy Information Office can help local and international press request interviews with U.S. Embassy staff and other U.S. Government officials. We can also help you obtain official statements. If you are interested in requesting an interview or official statement, please send email to: PAS_Jakarta@state.gov.
Press Releases, Media Alerts, and Press Kits
The U.S. Embassy Jakarta website includes a full archive of U.S. Embassy press releases and can direct journalists to press products from other U.S. Government institutions, including the White House, Department of State, Department of Defense, and other government agencies.

Visas for Journalists Traveling to the U.S.
U.S. Embassy Jakarta has created the Business Visa Program (BVP) to make it easier for certain employees and spouses and unmarried children under 21 to seek nonimmigrant visas to the United States, including "I" visas. Firms lawfully operating within Indonesia are eligible to join the BVP. Applying for the Business Visa Program (BVP) is a free, quick and easy process. We recommend all Indonesian media outlets that send employees to the U.S. apply for the BVP program. BVP registration is valid for two years.

Media Outreach Programs
The U.S. Embassy and its partners sponsor training and outreach programs for local journalists. Additionally, the U.S. Embassy accepts proposals from other institutions to do joint training programs and events that promote journalism in Indonesia. Public Affairs Publications
The U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section has a selection of books, e-journals and other publications available for journalists. You can request a limited number of free hard copies for your office, or click the link next to one of the following publications for an electronic version.
