The American Citizen Services (ACS) section provides information and assistance to U.S. citizens in Australia. American Citizen Services consists of the Passport & Citizenship and Special Consular Services sections. Office Hours and Contact Information

General Consulate Office Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Counter Hours 8:00am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday. All services other than emergencies require an appointment. For emergency services (e.g. the arrest, death, or serious injury of a U.S. citizen) after 4:30 p.m. or on holidays and weekends, please call (+61) (3) 9389-3601.

The ACS section is closed on Fridays and U.S. and Victorian Public Holidays

You must make an appointment via our website to be allowed entry into the consular section for routine (non-emergency) services.
