U.S. citizens planning to visit and reside in Eritrea should register with the Embassy. Registration will make your presence and whereabouts known in case it is necessary to contact you in an emergency. In accordance with the Privacy Act, information on your welfare and whereabouts may not be released without your express authorization.
You will need to fill out the online American Citizens Registration Form or if you are visiting the embassy, please present your current U.S. passport as well as your family members.
