Drill Sergeant Applicant. Your first stop will be your S1. They will tell you if you meet the criteria. Then complete a Drill Sergeant packet requesting Drill Sergeant School on a DA Form 4187 with a mental evaluation, a commander’s checklist, and a DA Form 705, latest weapons qualification, and Personnel Qualification Record. All packets must go through your chain of command.

If you have any questions about becoming a Drill Sergeant, your first point of contact is your S1. After that the POC for WSMR can be reached at (575) 678-7380, Bldg 465, Rm 134.
