Appointment System for American Citizens Services

The Embassy is closed on U.S. and Saudi holidays. Please refer to our holiday schedule for more information.

Important! You must make an appointment online for all routine U.S. citizen services including passport application services, request for Consular Report of Birth Abroad, notarial services, and questions regarding federal benefits.

Special consular services will continue to be seen on a walk-in basis and appointments are not required to pick up new passports or issued CRBAs. 

Exceptions to the routine consular services appointment requirement will be made on a case-by-case basis for emergency situations only.   Emergencies may include, but are not limited to death of an American citizen, arrest of an American citizen, medical or financial emergencies.  

Please make a separate appointment for each individual service.  To ask for help with Federal Benefits, please choose the option “Request notarial and other services not listed above” on the appointment page.

Once you make an appointment, please remember to print the Appointment Details page and bring it with you when you appear at the embassy.

If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you do so at least 24 hours in advance so that we may be able to offer your appointment time to another applicant.  Please note that in order to cancel or make changes to your appointment, you must have the “Appointment Password” that appears on the Appointment Details page, which you should print out or record immediately after you make your appointment.
