Organ Donation and Transplant Facts

“By donating organs that
we no longer need, we’re
providing healing power
and healing energy to those
members in our community
who otherwise might not be
able to live and lead
normal lives.”
—Don Warne, MD

  • A single donor can help more than 50 people. In addition to kidneys, you can donate:
    • Heart
    • Pancreas
    • Skin
    • Heart valves
    • Lungs
    • Liver
    • Tendons
    • Intestines
    • Corneas
    • Bone
  • You may specify the organs and tissues that you would like to donate.
  • Nearly anyone can be an organ or tissue donor.
  • Donation costs nothing to the donor’s family or estate.

The MOST IMPORTANT PART of deciding to be a donor is to SHARE YOUR DECISION WITH YOUR FAMILY.

Sharing your decision to be a donor now will prevent confusion or uncertainty about your wishes at the time of your death.
