The Office of Small Business Programs is a headquarters staff element of the U.S. Army Medical Command reporting to the Head of Contracting Activity (HCA).

Our mission is to champion U.S. small business interests in the U.S. Army Medical Command's health care acquisition process.

We do this by

• Providing training, assistance and counseling to the small business community about doing business with the Army Medical Command.
• Providing training, assistance and counseling to our internal customers about contracting with small businesses.
• Assisting internal customers in identifying small business resources to meet their needs.
• Conducting outreach and match-making events.

We are also the Medical Command’s primary liaison with the Small Business Administration for health care acquisitions.

Our office is rather small, only three people:

• The Associate Director for Small Business
• The Deputy Associate Director for Small Business
• Administrative Support (Contractor)

Nevertheless, it is our intention to be the premier small business office in the Army and to ensure that the Medical Command is recognized and respected for its comprehensive and proactive programs that contribute significantly to the benefit of the U.S. Government and small business concerns, and in particular to the well-being of service members world-wide.
