With its stable political and economic environment, and geographic location on Russia’s border, Latvia can serve as an excellent entry point for U.S. companies seeking to export or invest in the European Union, as well as to export into Russia and Central Asia. The U.S. Embassy in Riga works hard to support and build the strong bilateral trade and investment ties between the United States and Latvia. To support these efforts we work closely with the U.S. Department of Commerce, providing branded trade counseling, market intelligence, business matchmaking, and commercial diplomacy services to American companies looking for partners in Latvia. In addition, we enjoy fruitful relationships with the American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia and the Foreign Investors Council in Latvia, both trusted partners. We actively promote the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Buyers Program bringing Latvian companies over to the United States to learn what America has to offer. In addition, we actively support the “SelectUSA” program to promote investment opportunities in the United States.
