Entrepreneurship Briefings at the ACC (Nov 22, 2011)

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) festivities continued on Tuesday, November 22 with a program at the American Cultural Center featuring Mr. Raphael Edou, Minister of Decentralization and Local Governance, and Mr. Ulrich Affo, a business consultant.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador James Knight called on youth to pursue their business endeavors not only in Cotonou but throughout Benin. Then Minister Edou spoke about the government’s strategy to assist youth in doing exactly that. Finally Mr. Affo warned the crowd about 50 mistakes to avoid in business.

Throughout the world, 123 countries are participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week. This is Benin’s first year as a GEW participant. This program was organized in partnership with Mr. Charles Vvidjannagni, the coordinator of GEW in Benin.
