The Transportation Safety Institute in partnership with the Center for Urban Transportation Research, First Transit, Laidlaw Transit Services, MV Transportation, the Tennessee Transit Training Center, New York State Passenger Transportation Safety Board and Veolia Transportation has developed the following recordability guidelines to provide transit incident review boards with transit specific criteria for assessing collisions and incidents for recordability. Input was also solicited from the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) and the Transport Workers Union (TWU) but they declined to comment.
