In order to register for a class, USGS personnel should login to DOI
Learn and search (ADCP or ADVM) the course catalog, choose your
class date, submit your request, have your supervisor approve,
and wait to hear from the instructor after registration closes. Direct
links in the table below may be used to register for specific classes
after logging in to DOI Learn.
USGS Cooperators may register for a class by completing the non-USGS Course Application form, which can be found at the following link: http://www.usgs.gov/humancapital/documents/NonUSGSApplicationForm.pdf. Cooperators will need to provide correspondence from the local USGS Water Science Center stating that you are a cooperator and why it is in the USGS interest for you to attend the class. Please note, USGS students will be given priority if enrollment exceeds class capacity.
Classes are setup in DOI Learn with a roster maximum of 16 students. Additional students that register will be placed on a wait list. After registration closes, class roster will be finalized. Typically final class size will be between 18 and 24 students. Do NOT make any travel arrangements until you are notified by the lead instructor of your acceptance after registration closes.
The cost for each 5 day course is $1,100 for USGS personnel and $1,150 for non-USGS personnel. A cancellation fee of 75% of the tuition will be assessed if a student cancels after the class roster is finalized.
