USGS Water Science Centers are located in each state.

There is a USGS Water Science Center office in each State. Washington Oregon California Idaho Nevada Montana Wyoming Utah Colorado Arizona New Mexico North Dakota South Dakota Nebraska Kansas Oklahoma Texas Minnesota Iowa Missouri Arkansas Louisiana Wisconsin Illinois Mississippi Michigan Indiana Ohio Kentucky Tennessee Alabama Pennsylvania West Virginia Georgia Florida Caribbean Alaska Hawaii New York Vermont New Hampshire Maine Massachusetts South Carolina North Carolina Rhode Island Virginia Connecticut New Jersey Maryland-Delaware-D.C.

Notification of office closure or delayed opening due to severe weather conditions will be implemented using the following notification systems:

1. Email
You can check your USGS email by going through the Lotus Internet Portal: https://gsvaresh01.er.usgs.gov/ Once there type in your USGS Username, and your Lotus Internet Password.
2. Telephone
Please call (334) 395-4145 and listen to the greeting for an update.

Normally, in the case of impending severe weather conditions, you will be notified ahead of time to check the notification systems. Should you have any questions, please contact your Supervisor.
