A tour of the USS GW ship’s flight deck
YOKOSUKA, Japan (Feb. 7, 2013) - Lt. Cmdr. James Stockman, public
affairs officer aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN
73), explains flight operations to members of the Komeito Kanagawa
Prefectural Assemblymen during a tour of the ship’s flight deck. The
Nimitz-class aircraft carrier and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air
Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects the
collective maritime interest of the U.S. and its partners and allies
