Landowner Incentive Program (Non-Tribal Portion) - History
The Landowner Incentive Program was created by Congress in FY 2002 as an annually appropriated program.
$35.7 million was appropriated in FY 2002, but applied to FY 2003. In FY 2004, $26.6 million and in FY 2005 $19.5 million for the state portion of the Landowner Incentive Program.
