On November 19, 2009 the FAA issued an amendment to Part 93. This amendment establishes a Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) in the vicinity of New York City and defines operational procedures for pilots within the SFRA.
Course Content This course provides important information for pilots who conduct flights under VFR in the vicinity of New York City. The course:

Defines the SFRA airspace in the vicinity of New York City, including the Hudson River and East River Exclusions

Describes the new regulatory procedures for operating in the Exclusions

Reviews charted procedures and provides recommendations for operations within the Exclusions
