1. What is IEW?
   
   International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education. IEW is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This annual initiative aims to promote international understanding and build support for international educational exchange by encouraging the development of programs that prepare Americans to live and work in a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study in the United States.
2. When did IEW begin?
   
   IEW was first held in 2000 and today it's celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide.
3. How can I participate in IEW?
   
   Anyone can participate in IEW wherever they are by coordinating or attending activities in their local community. Please visit our suggestions page to view a list of suggested activities for individuals who would like to host IEW events.

5. When is IEW next year?
   
   IEW is always held the third week of November every year. For 2013, the dates are November 11-15.
6. How can I obtain IEW logos?
   
   Logos can be downloaded from the logos page. High resolution versions are available for direct download here. You will need to have Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or Corel Draw to download the high resolution versions.
7. May I alter the IEW logo to change it to my school colors, remove the year, change another part of the design, etc.?
   
   We offer a variety of IEW logos and bookmarks and generally do not allow alterations. If none of the posted graphics suit your needs, please contact us.
8. How can I submit photos and videos to the IEW site?
   
   Photos can be submitted as part of an event listing. Events can be submitted on the events page. Links to videos can also be submitted with an event or as a standalone item on the videos page.
9. How can I study in the U.S.?
   
   Contact your nearest EducationUSA Advising Center and ask to speak to an adviser.
10. How can I study overseas?
    
    Search the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs website for opportunities available to you.
