The Contingency Response Communications System provides quick, critical communications for first responders

A vehicle mounted Contingency Response Communications System (CRCS) sits operational behind the 126th Communications Flight on March 1, 2012. The CRCS is an internet based solution that allows first responders to communicate and exchange information by radio, live streaming video, wireless internet, and voice over IP services. It provides highly mobile critical communications services to local, state and federal first responders with a simple to operate solution that bridges the gap between first responder agencies and various levels of command and control.The CRCS is a rapidly deployable asset that requires only two personnel and can be operational within 30 minutes of arriving on site. The 126th Air Refueling Wing, Illinois Air National Guard, can provide communications as well as other vital services in the aftermath of a natural disaster or other emergency. KC-135R Aeromedical Evacuation Amperage Testing

A High Deck Loading Platform (HDLP) vehicle approaches an Illinois Air National Guard KC-135R Stratotanker at Scott AFB, Ill. The 126th Air Refueling Wing aircraft was used by the Air Mobility Command Aeromedical Evacuation section to test amperage draw of medical equipment used during patient movement. Successful completion of the test could allow for up to two more critical care patients to be flown on the plane during medical airlift missions.
