Federal Advisory Committee Act

 

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Medical Review Board (MRB) was established under the auspices of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) of 1972, Public Law 92-463, http://www.gsa.gov/faca. Per FACA requirements, the charter of the MRB was approved by the Secretary of Transportation and filed with the General Services Administration's Committee Secretariat, the appropriate Congressional committees, and the Library of Congress.

The Designated Federal Official (DFO) for this advisory committee and its subcommittees is the FMCSA Associate Administrator, Policy and Program Development, or his or her designee. The committee sponsor is the Director, Office of Medical Programs, or his or her designee.

FMCSA's Office of Medical Programs will furnish support for the operation of the MRB. The DFO has designated Madeline Boyd as the FACA Officer of the MRB.
