Most visa services are available by appointment only: 

Nonimmigrant visa interviews are conducted by appointment only.  An appointment must be scheduled at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/my.  See here for instructions on how to apply.

Immigrant Visa interviews are conducted by appointment only.  Applicants will be notified of their appointment dates by the National Visa Center (NVC) or the Embassy.  See here for further information on immigrant visa procedures.  Individuals with questions about their immigrant visa cases or American citizens wishing to file immigrant visa petitions should email to KLConsular@state.gov to request an appointment.

Appointments are required for immigrant visa inquiries, interviews, follow-up interviews or to file an immigrant visa petition.

Security at the Consular Section

All visitors to Embassy facilities are subject to search before entry.  No luggage, electronic or photographic equipment is permitted in our waiting room or on other Embassy premises.  Mobile phones will be held at the gate while visitors are on Embassy grounds. Please bring two forms of identification to facilitate entrance to the embassy. One ID will be kept with the security gate.
