United States Embassy Maseru, Chargé d'Affaires, a.i.

Carl B. Fox is Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. at the U.S. Embassy in Maseru, Lesotho.  From August 2011 to December 2012 he served as Deputy Chief of Mission at U.S. Embassy Maseru. He previously served as Chief of the Political/Economic section at U.S. Embassy Dar es Salaam, which also manages the U.S. relationship with the East African Community.  In Washington, he worked in the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, coordinating interagency support teams for programs in Namibia, India, and China.  At the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York, he served on delegations to the UN General Assembly, Economic and Social Council, Human Rights Commission, Commission on the Status of Women, and the Commission for Social Development.  Earlier overseas assignments include Madrid and Kingston. 

Mr. Fox is a graduate of Harvard College.  He is married to Laura Skolnik, a development professional, and has a son, Jasper.
